Content & Copyright Policy

World TV Channels is a directory and guide to television channels around the world. Part of the site is a web player for live streams. This page explains exactly which streams we play, which we don’t, and how rights holders can contact us.
1. What the player includes
The player only carries streams that the broadcaster itself publishes free of charge on the open web — for example public broadcasters and state international services (such as Deutsche Welle, France 24, NHK World, Al Jazeera) and free ad-funded news channels that operate their own public live feeds.
Before a channel is added to the player we check that:
- the broadcaster offers the live stream freely on its own website, app or official channel; and
- the stream URL we play points at the broadcaster’s own servers or CDN — not a copy, mirror or re-hosted playlist.
We do not host, record, re-encode, proxy or rebroadcast any video. Playback happens in your browser, directly from the broadcaster’s servers.
2. What the player excludes
Channels that license their content — pay-TV, cable and satellite networks, premium sports and movie channels — are never playable on this site. They may appear in our channel guide as editorial profiles (history, ownership, programming, availability), always with a link to the channel’s official website as the place to watch.
3. Trademarks and channel materials
Channel names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used on this site solely to identify the channels, in the way a TV guide does. Editorial texts — channel profiles and blog articles — are our own work.
4. For rights holders
If you represent a broadcaster and believe a stream or other material on this site should not be here, email us at contact@worldtvchannels.com with:
- the page URL and the channel concerned;
- the organisation you represent and your role;
- a short description of the issue.
We review every such notice and remove the channel from the player promptly — typically within 72 hours — while we investigate. The same address also works the other way: if your broadcaster offers a free official stream and you’d like it listed, tell us.
5. Mistakes happen
Stream sources occasionally change hands or move without notice. If a feed that no longer meets the policy above slips through, that is an error, not a practice — report it and we will remove it.
